Danyl may have finished in bottom two, but still tipped to win

As the acts prepare for Rock week Geordie Joe McElderry, Olly Murs and Danyl Johnson are favourites to win the whole thing according to the bookies.

Joseph McElderry Odds: 4.7
Olly Murs Odds: 4.9
Danyl Johnson Odds: 6
Stacey Solomon Odds: 8.4
Lucie Jones Odds: 7.6
Jamie "Afro" Archer Odds: 11
John and Edward Odds: 20
Lloyd Daniels Odds: 34

For the less weirdly amongst us, what does this mean?

Well if you are convinced the bookies have got it all wrong and for instance fancy that Lloyd still has what it takes to defy the odds and win, you can not only prove the bookies wrong but also win some cash to celebrate with in the process.

Danyl Johnson at the first Live Show.

Right I have to come out a put my cards on the table. I don't really like Danyl I am not sure why, there is just something about his cockiness that puts me off.

Having said that there is no doubt that he is one of the better, if not the best contestant in this year's competition.

He proved this again with a superb vocal on "I'm Gonna Make You Love Me".

A brilliant night for Danyl marred only be Dannii-gate, as Dannii Minogue put her foot in her mouth. She somehow dragged Danyl's alledged bi-sexuality into her comments.

It did not go down well and was cringing to watch although in my opinion she meant no harm. Be that as it may it was a good performance and saw him securely into the 2nd week.

Danyl Johnson at Simon Cowell's House

Danyl Johnson had made it through to the Judge's House's section of the X-Factor. He had wow'ed the Judges at the auditions, left them somewhat underwhelmed at Boot Camp, now he needed to put his path to the Finals back on track.

Simon Cowell and Sinitta were sitting in judgement and it was make or break. Danyl sang Fallin' by Alicia Keys. It was a good acapella version but again in my opinion it was spoilt by him being over-demonstrative but it seems that is Danyl.

Simon and Sinitta realised Danyl is like Marmite some people will love it and some people hate it, but they loved it and he was through to the final 12.

Danyl Johnson at Boot Camp

So you give what is arguably the best first audition in the history of the X-Factor, you get a standing applause from the Judges, the video of your performance gets millions of views on You Tube, how do you beat that ?

That was the question that faced Danyl Johnson as he headed off to Boot Camp. Well to be honest it would be a big ask to beat that and he didn't in my opinion.

He sang Simply Red's "Holding Back The Years" one of my favourite songs. It was a decent performance but that song is a song of pained emotions and his performance was way over the top, but there was no way the Judges would drop him at that point even if he sang "Bob the Builder" and they didn't he was off to the Judges House

When we first saw Danyl Johnson !

As the X-Factor moves smoothly into its third week and we look at the journey taken so far by Danyl Johnson. We start as you would at the beginning in the audtions in London where we saw arguably one of the best X-Factor auditions ever.

It was showmanship at its best. Yes Ladies and Gents we present Danyl Johnson with a stunningly awesome version of The Beatles' - With A Little Help From My Friends

This stunning audtion was an instant hit on You Tube gathering over 9 millions views so far. The only problem with such a stunning introduction is how do you top it?

Danyl Johnson fancies a date with Simon Cowell

Danyl Johnson mum Maria Burgess has revealed to OK Magazine that her son would really fancy a date with the man who is effectively his boss Pop millionaire Simon Cowell.

Speaking to the magazine she said "Danyl joked recently that he'd like to go on a date with Simon Cowell - but if he brought him home, I'd be totally gobsmacked!"

His mum also revealed that Danyl had auditioned for the show previously in 2006, the year Leona Lewis won, but didn't even get as far as performing in front of the judges.

She also added: "Danyl has made me the proudest woman in the world."

Danyl Johnson's been bisexual since 14

I don't know if Danyl is trying to keep this under wraps, but if he is he might want to let his "friends" know.

The Mirror reports that a friend of Danyl, Stephen Blackie has told a Magazine that Danyl has been bisexual since he was 14.

Stephen, who used to live with Danyl, said: “Danyl told his family he was bisexual when he was 14. His mum was 100 per cent supportive.

He also described Danyl, a teacher from Reading, as extremely popular with both sexes, getting lucky whenever he went out clubbing.

Pal Stephen said: “He would get lucky with both men and women, but was not the type to take people home for one-night stands.

“He loves being the centre of attention and would snog people almost every time we went out.”
